the art of travel

I've been traveling a fair bit over the past few years, splitting my time between NYC and just recently SFO and YEG to spend time with my bf. Because of all the travel, I spend a lot of time looking out airplane windows and have kinda fallen in love with it. The shapes, colours, patterns are super inspiring. Nic suggested I use these as inspiration for a series of paintings. She may have been reading my mind, because that's exactly the plan. I'd also love to have the photographs printed large format. On my most recent trip, I was lucky to have pretty good visibilty on both arrivals. Early morning is usually the best. We flew out of a very foggy SFO and on the other side of the layer of clouds was this magnificent sunbeam waiting for us. I'm looking forward to my next flight so I can enjoy the view out that tiny little window again.
